In a world that does not afford enough opportunities
to remain true to ourselves or allow us enough time to sit back and smell the roses, my girlfriend Lisa and I (along
with many of our new friends) have found our own private rose garden in the awesome Mr. Nichols.
Happiness is not a destination, but a journey to be embraced every day.
..... and for that
we can only say "Thank you Joe".
June 4th, 2006, Rossland, GA
Lisa and I drove to Georgia from Toronto, Canada. The trip took approximately 14 hours. I have to
say that no distance is too far to drive to see Joe perform and this particular day there were two concerts. The first show
was at 3:00pm, the second at 8:00pm and we met up with another Joexploder and her two daughters. Marilyn, Lisa and I
love Joe and it was great to be able to enjoy the show with such wonderful friends that appreciate Joe as much as I do.
Joe was awesome as always. He was a little over dressed for the hot weather, in a black long sleeve shirt
over a white t-shirt, but it didn't hinder his performance one bit and he had a lot of fun posing for us.
He opened his show with Brokenheartsville and continued his set in no particular order with:
Cool To Be a Fool She Only Smokes WAGGD Tequila Size Matters Country Boy Can survive Long Hair Country
Boy Blues Man Mama Tried Palm of my hand Family Tradition Stay Here I'll Wait For You Country As She
Gets Honky Tonk Woman ' The Impossible
Shane and Brian did Back in Black Joe did his sing along starting with
Kumbaya and he stopped and said "stop stop, no no no and he started the dukes of hazard song. He's a very funny guy!!
Pictures and review for Joe's fan club party on June 6, 2006 and his appearance at the Grand Ole Opry (Ryman Auditorium)
on June 8th are coming.
